EXO 35 Store slippers are designed to be low maintenance, requiring minimal care. During the initial few weeks, you may notice some shedding of wool. Simply remove the loose wool and discard it. This shedding is a natural process and will subside over time, varying from person to person.
Wool felt is a dense material that naturally repels dirt and water due to the lanolin it contains. To keep your slippers in good condition on a daily basis, we recommend airing them out. Occasionally, you can use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust or debris. Generally, there is no need to wash the slippers. However, if you accidentally spill something on them, it’s best to absorb it immediately to prevent it from seeping in. Gently sponge clean the affected area with cool water and a small amount of soap specifically designed for wool or mild shampoo. Avoid using excessive soap and soaking the slippers.
After washing with water, gently press the slippers with a towel to remove excess moisture from the felt. Then, reshape them by wearing them and place them on a dry towel to dry naturally, away from heat sources. Please note that using warm water (above 30 degrees Celsius) or exposing the wet slippers to heat can cause them to shrink.
We do not recommend washing EXO35 slippers in a washing machine, as this may damage the delicate wool felt.
It’s important to protect the leather soles from getting wet, as moisture can cause them to dry out and crack. To maintain the leather soles, you can use a suede brush to keep them clean and in good condition.
